Perhaps the most recognizable and well known of all American Civil War Union generals is Ulysses S. Grant. Commander of the Union Armies and 18th President of the United States, General Grant ended the Civil War at Appomattox Court House.

Speaking in first person, Larry Clowers presents stories from General Grant’s early life, his marriage, his war years and his impressions of President Abraham Lincoln. To help illustrate these presentations, he brings along a traveling museum of artifacts and memorabilia from the Civil War.

An experienced re-enactor, actor, and living historian, Larry Clowers has appeared in historical presentations, stage productions, re-enactments, school programs, clubs, and parades.
