The American Historical Theatre Presents
The Presidents Ball

The Presidentís Ball is attended by five Presidents and their wives: George and Martha Washington, Abigail and John Adams, Thomas Jefferson (unmarried), Dolley and James Madison, and Mr. And Mrs. James Monroe. All the dignitaries are introduced with fan fare and proper toasts and responses from the Presidents and their ladies. Included are 18th Century musicians and dancers. The gala is intended to make the guests feel they have been transported back into another time and place.

This program is particularly appropriate when served with an 18th Century meal. There are impromptu speeches throughout and the audience is encouraged to respond with toasts and remarks. The evening includes dancing and song, and the audience is encouraged to participate. An elaborately costumed cast makes the gala event a night to remember.
