The American Historical Theatre Presents
P.T. Barnum's Waxworks

P.T. Barnum was one of America’s greatest showmen. So-called "Freaks were often part of his presentations. In this one-act play, we join P.T. Barnum as he unveils his latest additions to his waxworks museum, three notable American women. While Mr. Barnum tells the stories of his "girls" from the point of view of a nineteenth century man, the "Ladies" find it difficult to remain mute, and come to life to tell their own stories. Soon, they are engaged in a lively discussion, highlighting the struggles and achievements of American Women through the centuries.

Customize your collection of "Ladies" in the Waxworks. Including:

Abigail Adams, Susan B. Anthony, Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Eleanor Roosevelt, Alice Paul.

Running time approximately 40 minutes, followed by a question and answer session with the audience.
